Ultraman director Takeshi Yagi launches homepage

Ultraman series director/producer Takeshi Yagi has launched his official website in English.

For over 10 years, Yagi has served as Director and Special FX Director for Tsuburaya Productions' enduring Ultraman series, including shows such as ULTRAMAN GAIA, ULTRAMAN COSMOS, ULTRAMAN NEXUS and ULTRAMAN MEBIUS.

In 2005, he produced the popular ULTRAMAN MAX series.

In 2007, he served as show runner and main director for the contemporary late-night series ULTRASEVEN X.

His first feature film THE SUPER 8 ULTRA BROTHERS opened to theatres in Japan on September 13th this year. As of October 23rd it has taken over 800 million yen (US$8.12m) at the box office, becoming the most successful Ultraman movie in history.

Yagi retired from Tsuburaya Productions in January 2008 and is now pursuing new projects outside the world of Ultraman as a freelance director/producer.
