BAD BOOTLEGGERS-The DO NOT Buy From List

When getting unlicensed Tokusatsu or other DVD or DVD-Rs, a general rule of thumb is to pay attention to the amount of discs in the set they are selling. Do the math yourself; if there are more than 8 episodes on a disc, the quality is going to be poor. 8 is pushing it, but should be watchable without pixilation or video distortion of any kind.

Don't EVER go by the ratings of e-bay feedback. It is easily faked. Especially be weary if you see the same exact response repeatedly like you do with ultramanuniverse and NovaRose. I'd explain how to fake e-bay feedback, but this isn't a "how-to" manual.

If you have purchased a set of poor quality DVDs or DVD-Rs, contact me by PM, and I will add them to the list if your complaints are determined legitimate.

The following DVD bootleggers have EXTREMELY poor quality DVDs:

ULTRAMANUNIVERSE: Without a doubt, hands down, the worst DVD-Rs I have ever encountered. 9 episodes per disc in the set I reviewed. The images were constantly pixilated, washed out and had many glitches. His sets are overpriced and unwatchable. You're better off buying the other bootlegged tapes he took them off of.

ULTRAMANSTUFF AKA: NOVAROSE: I bought their set of the original Ultraman series off of e-bay. 10 episodes per disc. Crappy quality. They weren't quite as bad as ultramanuniverse's sets, but any time there was any form of camera movement or action on screen the image became highly pixilated and quite annoying to watch. The higher the level of movement, the higher the level of pixilation. If a fight is going on, explosions occur, or there is a fire or water scene, the image becomes unwatchable.

The following was reported to me from a forum member: Dealer took payment from buyer through Pay-Pal, DVDs were never sent out. Buyer sent several e-mails to dealer and dealer never responded. Issue was reported to Pay-Pal, Pay-Pal decided in buyers favor. When Pay-Pal went to retrieve buyer's money, dealer's account was at zero, so no compensation was forthcomming.

If dealer makes retribution with buyer and buyer reports back to me, dealer will be removed from list, unless further reports persist. If dealer contacts me and gets on my nerves, dealer will remain on list.
